It’s October 1st! Where does time go?
Over these past six months, I’ve done a good job of causing my car to be mad at me on a near daily basis. Lots of miles bringing on lots of new accounts and attending events. We completed our 2nd year at the Iowa State Fair and already have that event marked in the calendar for 2024. We sold books at the Kansas State Fair this year, too, as well as several smaller community events. Fox Pointe now has 87 active titles with 21 projects in the works for 2024, if I recall correctly. We also have a new author whose debut novel will release in 2025 (yes, we’re already writing contracts for books releasing in 2025!) We’re keeping busy! Before 2023 ends, Fox Pointe Publishing is transferring all of it’s official paperwork to Colorado from Minnesota (my co-publisher lives in Denver.) Nothing changes for any of our customers or the Crew at Fox Pointe but I am finally embarking on a childhood dream of mine to live on the road fulltime (I had this goal before it was trendy with the rest of the world, mind you.) I was right there with Chris Farley when he was carrying on about ‘living in a van down by the river!’ I will still be working, though; think of it as a never-ending, traveling sales job. OMG! I’ve turned into John Candy’s character from ‘Trains, Planes, and Automobiles’ who sells shower curtain rings, only I sell books which are much heavier. (I didn’t plan out the ‘weight issue’ very well, did I?) ;-) To make my transition a bit smoother, below is a list of books available in hardcover which you can buy for $5.00 off and I will mail out to you during the month of October. Books, of course, always make the best gifts, be it birthdays or holidays or just because. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to open & read this Newsletter.
