On the eve of April Fool’s Day, Mother Nature has decided to extend winter into another weekend event for Fox Pointe. She’s been doing this, consistently, since mid-December. Fortunately, the shop owner of the originally scheduled April 1st event agreed with me that rescheduling was the best idea. June 3rd is the new date… there couldn’t possibly be a blizzard on June 3rd, right? (Knock on wood!)
Since I’m always looking for the silver-lining in any ‘less-than-positive-situation’ that comes my way (and I’m very good at this talent, too), I’m viewing this weekend as a surprise gift of getting to stay home to get things done… 24 unexpected hours to get things done… before April 8th arrives, bringing a full calendar that has nearly every weekend (throughout the entirety of 2023) scheduled at a book/sales-related event. Things get busy in 2023! (Take a peek at the August 2023 event Page.) Crazy! I will add, though, that I’m taking the weekends off in late June and early July to go sit in the woods, so I can sweat profusely while being covered in bug spray. Sounds fun, huh? This is my annual trek out into nature to stare into the abyss. The only thing I have to worry about, during that time, is avoiding a bear (or some other wild creature) attack. ;-) Anyway, the list of second quarter events (all open to the public) that I have booked, so far, are listed below. I’m waiting on a couple of other events, and the Fox Pointe’s event page is the best place to find all of our events. Events and appointments see me in at least 20 different states, this year. Lots of traveling and introducing new readers to the talents of the Fox Pointe Crew. The people in production tell me we have a few full-length novels releasing later this year, as well as more children’s books. I know we’ve been writing contracts for 2024 releases since the middle of 2022, and we also have some 2024 events scheduled, too. Time keeps marching on and books keep being released! Always busy, busy! By the way, thank you for taking the time to open & read this Newsletter. Please share Fox Pointe books and/or the Newsletter with your book-loving friends and family in order for Fox Pointe to grow. Did you know Fox Pointe is almost 4 years old? Mid-July of 2019 is when we became official with the State of Minnesota, and as with any growing 4-year-old, we want to meet and become friends with everyone, and we also have sky-high hopes/plans with everything we do. To make those two ideas work, we need people to introduce their bibliophile-friends to us. :-) Lastly, be sure to check out the webpages of the ‘Q2 Authors of the Month’ listed below.
