Amy Kerns is a children’s book author and mom of three whose stories are inspired by the humor, heart, and little moments that make everyday family life so special.

Her debut children’s book, Harlow Learns He’s Loved, was inspired by a real-life moment between her firstborn son and beloved family dog and explores the idea that a family’s capacity for love only expands as the family does. Her second book, Mismatched Socks, grew out of another familiar parenting reality: the seemingly endless pile of socks without a match. With playful rhyme and a simple message, the story reminds little readers—and their parents—that sometimes things don’t have to be perfect to be just right.

Amy lives in New Jersey with her husband, their three children, and two golden retrievers. When she isn’t writing, working in corporate America, or navigating the beautiful chaos of life with three kids, she loves cooking shows, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
