As the captain for the Minnesota Valkyries women’s hockey team, Victoria Whitetower has lived and breathed hockey for her whole life. So much so, she can’t imagine her life without it. After a rough inaugural season of the women’s hockey league, Victoria has more riding on the second season, more than ever before. With the sudden loss of her long-time coach for a new, far stricter coaching staff, nothing feels the same as the season starts. Known within the hockey club as someone who doesn’t play well with others, Victoria aims to change her image with a new player-spotlight social media campaign. After a prime PR blunder in New York, Reece Kirkpatrick is only looking to keep his head down and lick his wounds while hiding in the PR department of a women’s hockey club in Minnesota. The last thing he wants to do is babysit the grumpy captain and try to post wholesome content at the same time. However, while the two unlikely coworkers spend more time together, Reece’s thoughts of the captain turn to anything but wholesome. She and Reece find themselves spending more time together than is necessary for the social media campaign. When she is sidelined from the ice due to an injury, Victoria starts to worry about her future in the sport.
