"This is a book I wish I would have had when my own kids were younger!"

"This is a book I wish I would have had when my own kids were younger! Even as older kids, they both appreciated the book. My older one liked the fantasy theme and the realism of including a variety of different ways for Reagan to prepare herself for battle. My younger one loved that Reagan wasn't a typical girl, and that she was determined to prove herself to the villagers. I appreciated the powerful way it was written - simple enough for kids to understand, but also strong enough to make sure they knew that even little kids can learn to do great things."

“I think it was cool because Reagan was a little girl and everyone thought little people couldn't do it, and they also thought girls couldn't do it, but Reagan was both and did it! It taught me to believe in myself even if others don't."

"It was a fun book, with a surprise ending!"

A wonderful story of determination and problem solving.  Reagan illustrates courage, intelligence, and resourcefulness.  A great role model for little girls who dream BIG.  I especially like the "special" words that will help build a child’s vocabulary and lead to discussion. For example, "Which of the special words we talked about do you like most?"“
