"I found the story to be interesting and reminded me of the books by Timothy Zahn"

The reader is pulled into the perils that Atoll's squad faces as they fight to survive an enemy that is determined to keep them from completing their mission. I found the story to be interesting and reminded me of the books by Timothy Zahn."

This young author must have an amazing way of visualizing the action in his books, as I cannot imagine coming up with the military action. The book is very fast paced, which is perfect for young readers. You immediately dive into the action the minute you open up the book, and it doesn’t slow down until the first book in this trilogy ends. I look forward to the future books from Ulland-Joy, both as he continues as a high school student and beyond.”

"Eighty-one pages of non-stop, nerve-wracking action as Private Atoll and his small team of fellow soldiers attempt to overtake the deadliest war-torn city in the nation, all while navigating countless deaths, plot twists, and betrayals within their own group. Liam Ulland-Joy's well-written descriptions are 'as incessant as the sounds of gunfire' the characters experience throughout the book. As the first book in a trilogy, the story leaves the reader with the overpowering need to answer the question of 'why' by reading the next book in the series."
